Design emails that look like your store

Set your brand style once, then build any email from blocks: products from Shopify, discount codes, icons and spacing — checked before it sends.

1. Set your brand style once

Shopify doesn’t share your theme’s logo with apps, so upload it here once (a PNG, about 300 pixels wide).

  1. Open any email: Omni Marketing → Email campaigns → New campaign, or an app’s Emails & notifications tab.
  2. Click Brand style on the right. Upload your logo, then pick your brand colour, text colours, fonts and button shape. Or click Match my website to copy your theme’s colours and buttons.
  3. Add your Instagram, Facebook and other links under Social links. Every Social icons block uses them.
  4. Click Save as my brand style. Every email and every template now uses it, unless an email sets its own.

2. Build with blocks

The list on the left is your email, top to bottom. Drag to reorder, click + Add to add a block, or click any part of the preview to edit it.

Content holds the words and links. Style holds the space on each side (top, right, bottom, left), the background and whether the block shows on phones, computers or both.

Block colours can follow your brand: choose Brand, Light tint, Soft tint or Deep, and the block changes when your brand colour does.

3. Check it on a phone

Switch the preview to Phone to see how columns stack, and to Dark to see it in dark mode. Most emails are opened on phones, so check both before sending.

Gmail and Outlook show only standard fonts. If your brand uses a web font, the email falls back to a similar standard font there. Apple Mail shows the web font.

4. Custom HTML, if you need it

Switch Designer to Custom HTML at the top to turn the whole email into HTML you can edit. Shopify blocks stay live as {{block:id}}, so products and codes still update when it sends.

Switching back to Designer starts from your last design, not from the HTML.

5. Check and send a test

The Check list shows what must be fixed (it won’t save until it is) and warnings worth a look: a long subject, a picture without a description, an email that is all pictures.

Click Send me a test to get it in your inbox with your real products. Open it on your phone before sending to customers.
